Butler Snow Attorney Keith C. Mier Named 2024 Rising Star by Southwest Super Lawyers® for Sixth Consecutive Year

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Keith C. Mier has been named by Southwest Super Lawyers® as a 2024 Rising Star in Employment & Labor for the 6th year in a row.

Super Lawyers®, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.  The annual selections are made using a rigorous process, including a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area.  Each year, no more than 2.5% of lawyers in the state are named to the Rising Stars list.  Super Lawyers® identifies Rising Stars as attorneys, 40 years old or younger, who have made exceptional contributions in a particular practice area for 10 years or less.

Keith Mier is a member of Butler Snow’s Labor & Employment Group in the firm’s Albuquerque, New Mexico, office.  His experience primarily focuses on labor and employment law, insurance, transportation litigation, healthcare, corrections litigation, Indian law, commercial litigation and creditors’ rights.  He regularly represents clients across industries, from energy and government contracting to construction and manufacturing, in all contract, governance, regulatory and litigation matters.  

Mier is AV®-Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell® and recently recognized by Best Lawyers in America® in Labor Law – Management (2021-2024) for the third consecutive year.

After graduating from the United States Naval Academy, Mier attended the United States Navy Supply Corps School (Navy Business School).  He pursued a successful Naval career, retiring as a highly decorated lieutenant before returning to law school at the University of New Mexico, earning his Juris Doctor.

Maintaining his connection to the armed services, Mier currently donates his time to the Veterans Free Legal Clinic.  He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of New Mexico, where he serves the Commission on Professionalism.  He is licensed to practice in both New Mexico and the Navajo Nation.
