Successful companies need a strategy to manage public policy decisions that impact their business. Our Public Policy and Strategy Team offers the governmental experience to help companies navigate today’s complex legislative and regulatory environment. Led by three former chiefs of staff to Mississippi governors, our team has the insight and contacts to deal with any public policy challenge. We will develop a public policy strategy to help businesses take advantage of opportunities, overcome obstacles, and educate policymakers – at the local, state or federal level. We’re also able to advise municipalities or counties on state policy. On issues ranging from economic incentives to regulations to compliance to litigation, we will be the client’s advocate. In the halls of government, we will protect our client’s interests.
Practice highlights
Leading our 11-person Public Policy and Strategy Team is Charlie Williams, a 24-year veteran of the Mississippi House of Representatives, including eight years as Chair of the Ways and Means Committee, and recent Chief of Staff to Gov. Haley Barbour. Williams are Mark Garriga, a former state legislator and Chief of Staff to Gov. Kirk Fordice, and John Henegan, former Chief of Staff to Gov. William Winter.
