Overview

Meade concentrates his practice on product liability, pharmaceutical, toxic tort, and transportation litigation. He is AV®-Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, and recognized in Best Lawyers in America® and Who’s Who Legal in Product Liability and Super Lawyers® in Class Action/Mass Tort. Meade represents clients in litigation throughout the United States. He is President of the Mississippi Bar Association and previously served as the Practice Group Leader for Butler Snow's Products, Catastrophic & Industrial Litigation group.

About

Meade defends a variety of product liability disputes for manufacturers and distributors, including serving as national/regional counsel. He defends toxic tort suits, including talc, asbestos, silica, and chemical exposure suits and represents industrial machinery and component manufacturers and consumer product manufacturers and sellers. He also represents trucking companies involved in over the road accidents. Further, he defends companies involved in consumer protection suits and has extensive experience defending complex fire, explosion, and premises liability disputes, as well as representing companies in the energy industry.

Meade is involved in a variety of professional and community organizations. Meade is President of the Mississippi Bar and previously chaired its Litigation Section. He previously served as the President of both the Capital Area Bar Association and Jackson Young Lawyers. He is active in the American Bar Association’s Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section, where he serves as an officer, and has served on the governing Council and chair of the Content Management Committee, Commercial Transportation Committee, Book Publishing Board and Membership Committee. He also serves as Butler Snow’s representative to the Lex Mundi Legal Network. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the Mississippi Bar Foundation and a Bencher of the American Inns of Court, Charles Clark Chapter.  Meade previously served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership, as President of Leadership Greater Jackson Alumni Association, as a fundraiser chair and as a civic club president.
