Butler Snow Adds Two Immigration Attorneys to Huntsville, Alabama Office

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to welcome attorneys Stephen Davis and Jordan Hennig to the firm’s Huntsville, Alabama office. Davis and Hennig join the firm’s Labor & Employment Group, where they will continue to focus their practice on business-based immigration, helping companies and their employees secure nonimmigrant work visas and permanent residency status.

Stephen Davis

Before joining Butler Snow, Davis worked for a national law firm based in Birmingham, Alabama, where he played a key role in their immigration practice, representing clients across industries, including hospitality, manufacturing, healthcare, information technology, higher education, financial services, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. Stephen represented businesses that hired and sponsored professional and specialized knowledge workers, foreign nationals with exceptional ability, and intra-company transferee employees. He brings extensive experience advising corporate clients on immigration compliance, conducting internal audits, and representing companies in investigations initiated by the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

He is admitted to practice in Alabama and previously clerked for Honorable Inge P. Johnson of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.

Davis earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he was a member of the Alabama Law Review and served on the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board.

Jordan Hennig

Hennig brings substantial experience in employment-based immigration and labor law. While previously working at a national law firm based in Birmingham, Alabama, she assisted clients with securing nonimmigrant work visas, employment-based immigrant visas, and family-based immigration petitions. Hennig has also advised clients on labor and employment issues, including compliance with state and federal laws, best practices for human resources, and workforce management. Her experience spans clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, information technology, financial services, healthcare, and higher education. Prior to joining Butler Snow and her most recent role, Hennig practiced in Washington, D.C., as a Trial Attorney within the Litigation and Enforcement Division of the Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, where she defended the agency in matters before the FLRA, MSPB, and EEOC. She also previously served in the Office of Senator Jeff Sessions.

Hennig has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® on the “Ones to Watch” list for Immigration Law, Labor & Employment Law – Management, and Litigation – Labor & Employment (2024-2025). She has also been recognized by Mid-South Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star in Immigration: Business (2024).

Hennig earned her bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law.
