Butler Snow Attorney Kasey Adams Selected as 2025 Civil Justice Fellow by Lawyers for Civil Justice

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Kasey M. Adams has been selected as a member of the 2025 Civil Justice Fellows by Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ). LCJ Fellows are rising defense bar leaders who bring outstanding credentials, diverse backgrounds and fresh perspectives to LCJ’s civil litigation rules advocacy program.

Lawyers for Civil Justice is an advocacy organization whose members – respected companies, leading law firms, and distinguished defense bar organizations – support reform of procedural litigation rules to further “the just, speedy, and inexpensive determination of every action and proceeding,” as stated in Rule 1 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Through collaborative engagement by in-house and outside counsel, LCJ develops and advocates for reform proposals that improve the efficiency and fairness of the U.S. civil litigation system.

Kasey M. Adams

Adams is a member of the firm’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Healthcare group. She has significant experience preparing experts for depositions and trials and drafting motions to exclude evidence and opposing experts. She has served as an attorney coach of Mississippi College School of Law’s arbitration team, which was named the 2016 national champion of the American Bar Association’s Arbitration Competition. She has been a member of multiple trial teams in pharmaceutical product liability cases that resulted in defense verdicts, one of which was named one of CVN’s Top 10 Defense Verdicts of 2015 and another which was recognized as one of “CVN’s Top 10 Most Impressive Defense Verdicts of 2022.

Adams was recently appointed as co-lead defense counsel in a pharmaceutical MDL and was also a key member of the deposition and national expert teams in the pelvic mesh litigation. She is experienced in defending pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in consumer protection litigation brought by attorneys general. Since 2021, BL Rankings, The Best Lawyers in America® has recognized her in its “Ones to Watch” for Health Care Law and Products Liability Litigation for both Defendants and Plaintiffs.

She was named a Mid-South Rising Star by Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers® for Personal Injury-Products Defense and was recognized as a 2019 “Rising Star” by the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association.

Adams is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, the Capital Area Bar Association, Jackson Young Lawyers, the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the Charles Clark American Inn of Court and the Mississippi Heritage Trust. She earned her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Southern Mississippi and her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law, where she was Associate Editor of the Mississippi College Law Review, Chair of the Moot Court Board and a member of the National Order of Barristers.
