Butler Snow attorney Geoffrey Morris has been selected to the Top 40 Under 40 Urban Elite Professionals in Memphis. At Butler Snow, Geoffrey Morris is a member of the firm’s Finance, Real Estate and Restructuring Group, where he focuses his practice on real estate development & finance, corporate organization and governance, mergers & acquisitions, and public finance.
Geoffrey has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® Ones to Watch in 2024 and was named to the Shelby County Mayor’s Young Professionals Council from 2021-2023. Additionally, he was selected to the Memphis Flyer 20<30 list in 2021. He is a member of multiple state and federal legal associations, including the Memphis Bar Association (Young Lawyers’ Division, Board of Directors, 2021-present), the Tennessee Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association, and the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inn of Court. Geoffrey has generously volunteered as an Ambassador for “Facing History and Ourselves” (2019-2020) and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Bridges USA (2021-present; Executive Committee, 2023-present).
Morris earned his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and obtained his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School. He is admitted to the Tennessee Bar.
