Jackson is a member of Butler Snow’s Public Finance, Tax Incentives & Credit Markets group, where he focuses his practice on tax-exempt and taxable bond financings. He represents investment banks, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and governmental entities in connection with financings for senior living communities, affordable housing developments, healthcare facilities, and traditional municipal finance projects.

Experience

  • Represents clients as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, and borrower's counsel in connection with a variety of tax-exempt and taxable municipal and corporate bond financings. 
  • Experience in the affordable housing industry with a variety of financing structures, including municipal bonds involving private placements, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry with tax-exempt and taxable bond financings for assisted living facilities, life plan communities, and continuing care retirement communities.
  • Served as legal counsel to the foundation of a higher education institution, advising on tax issues, corporate governance, gift agreements, and gift and estate planning matters.
