Experience
- A seasoned political and public policy professional with over 25 years of experience, Michael started his career in the California Legislature and subsequently went on the serve in senior staff roles for four different Assembly Republican Leaders. As Chief of Staff, Mike played a key role in state budget negotiations that led to the passage of a $100+ billion-dollar state budget.
- After leaving state government, Michael worked as the Political Director of the California Farm Bureau Federation and was tasked with management of the state’s largest agricultural political action committee. During his tenure, he managed a statewide ballot measure committee that successfully defeated the largest property tax hike in state history.
- Prior to joining Butler Snow, Michael served as the Chief Advisor to Tennessee State House Majority Leader, William Lamberth where he played an integral role in the passage of the Governor’s legislative agenda and developed strong relationships across various Tennessee state government departments.
- A former campaign and public affairs consultant, Michael has advised over one-hundred clients and candidates across the country.
