Butler Snow LLP is pleased to welcome attorney Lisa B. Bisso to the Charleston, South Carolina office. Bisso will join the Commercial Litigation Group and continue working on civil litigation matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Lisa Bisso worked for a regional law firm and served on the lead contracts team for an international corporation. She has gained experience by assisting in all stages of litigation for complex civil defense matters, including drafting discovery responses and pre-trial motions, arguing motions, conducting depositions of key witnesses, and defending clients at trial. She also has extensive experience in multi-district toxic tort litigation, where she has analyzed plaintiff expert discovery to prepare fellow attorneys for depositions of key experts.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Bisso participates in various legal organizations, including membership of the Charleston County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association, and the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. She is also a Co-Chair of the Special Projects Committee of the Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar Association.
As a member of her community in and around Charleston, Bisso is on the Board of Directors for the Lowcountry Autism Foundation and volunteers her time with Charleston Habitat for Humanity.
Lisa Bisso earned her bachelor’s degree from State University of New York at Plattsburgh and her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. She is admitted to the State Bar of South Carolina.
