Williams have joined the firm’s Public Finance, Tax Incentives and Credit Markets practice group with a new office in Jacksonville, Florida. The addition of Jacksonville, the firm’s 28th location and its first in Florida, comes just weeks after Butler Snow announced it was expanding into the Huntsville, Ala. market and that it had formed a new strategic alliance with Maynor & Stiers, LLC, a federal government relations firm.

Emily Magee has extensive experience in public finance, healthcare finance, and structured lending. She serves as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriter’s counsel, lender’s counsel, borrower’s counsel and trustee’s counsel for tax-exempt and taxable financings, including governmental capital improvements and infrastructure, utilities, airports, seaports, affordable housing, senior living facilities, private and public hospitals, multi-state health systems, higher education charter schools, 501 (c)(3) organizations, industrial development, community development and redevelopment projects. Magee also often represents national and regional financial institutions and non-bank financial companies in a variety of structured lending transactions.
Magee has earned several distinctions throughout her career, including recently being selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© for Public Finance Law (2023). She was previously recognized as a Regular Fellow of the American College of Bond Counsel and selected for Chambers USA: America’s Leading Business Lawyers (2013 – 2022) as well as Florida Trend’s “Legal Elite” (2017). Additionally, Magee has been named “40 Under 40” and a “Woman of Influence” by the Jacksonville Business Journal.
Magee received her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law.
Bailey Williams joins with experience in public finance and healthcare finance. She represents clients as bond counsel, borrower’s counsel and lender’s counsel in connection with a variety of tax-exempt and taxable municipal and corporate bond financings across various industries, including healthcare and senior living facilities, charter schools, and affordable housing.
Prior to beginning her legal career, Williams worked as a market analyst at a Washington, D.C.-based data analytics firm.
Williams received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Florida State University. She received her Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in International and Comparative Law from Duke University School of Law.
